I starting Shakeology when I was two months postpartum, I brought the ingredients list into my doctor and made sure this program would be a healthy option for both myself as I was healing from a C-section and ankle injury and my daughter. I was reassured by my doctor that replacing one meal a day with the superfoods would only benefit our health and I was advised if she had any sensitivies to dairy we could switch to the vegan option. I started the regular formula and it worked perfectly for us. I have many nursing women in the group on the program with us and even a few pregnant women as well as this is safe to use throughout pregnancy, check with your doctor before starting and ask about how your prenatal will work with the program, they may suggest you only take folic acid and iron instead of a full prenatal due to the dense nutritional value of the shake. Vitamin K can be a concern in high quantities if the vitamin is of synthetic form, all vitamins are natural the whole foods that are in the shake so eating real vitamins doesn’t cause for concern, but be sure to get a doctors ok before starting the program for yourself.
● 21 Day Fix Bracket Calculation:
Here’s how you adjust the 21 day fix program if you are currently breastfeeding: Do the calculation that comes with your kit then add 500. It may bump you up to the next bracket or you may stay in the same depending on the number. Either way is perfect to follow depending where you fall.
● Replacing one meal a day with Shakeology
Here’s my favorite while I was breastfeeding:
1 Scoop of Vanilla or Chocolate Shakeology
1 to 2 tsp Peanut butter
1/2 a banana (frozen for a thicker shake)
1 cup of Milk or plain unsweetened almond milk, or personally I love using just plain water.
10-12 ice cubes
Blended until smooth.
Always check with your doctor before starting any exercise or nutrition program
